A nanoengineer teamed up with Rihanna's tattoo artist to make smarter ink
Early next year, the business partners plan to release their first product, Magic Ink, to a group of hand-picked artists. Their tattoos can be turned on and off with different kinds of light. They have long-term hopes for smart tattoos that have a health value, but cosmetics are cheaper and simpler to get to consumers than medical devices. So, that’s where they’re starting.
