3D printing company Ultimaker announced the relaunch of the new Makerbot as the only 3D printing brand solely dedicated to 3D printing for education. As part of this relaunch, the company expanded Makerbot Certification, its comprehensive 3D printing training and curriculum development programs, which are now available in multiple languages, including French, Spanish, German and British English.
3D printer manufacturer UltiMaker has introduced a larger model of its popular education-specific MakerBot 3D printer using the SKETCH platform, the company said, noting that the new MakerBot SKETCH Large 3D printer has “more 3D printing power” than the standard SKETCH printer and enables educators and students to turn their ideas and designs into reality on a larger scale.
The donations of the 3D printers support the missions of non-profits that look to improve or activate STEM learning programmes and help youth development in under-resourced communities.
