Fran Lewis, who is retiring as executive director of Splitz in March 2021 A WOMAN who gained the MBE in 2010 for her work supporting lone parents and the victims of domestic abuse is to step down from her role in the new year. Fran Lewis, 68, the executive director of Splitz Support Service in Trowbridge, is to retire at the end of March. She has been head of the service since founding it in 1989 as the North and West Wilts Single Parent Support Project. Fran, who lives in Trowbridge, says it’s time to step down as she approaches her 69th birthday in January.
