Salinan Charles Scott was greeted by his wife, Kawanis, and other close family members outside of the hospital on Friday after spending 52 days battling the coronavirus and pneumonia at Salina Regional Health Center. 
Scott is a 57-year-old veteran and is the founder and pastor at the nondenominational church Peter s Rock Ministries, 256 S. Eighth St., in Salina. The church has around 100 members, with Kawanis being the co-pastor. Charles Scott has spent more than 20 years working for a boy s home called Making Connection Youth Emergency Shelter in Salina.
The foundation of the church is based on Matthew 16:18, “and I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”  ....
