Wellington City councillors are scrambling to overturn a decision to extend paid parking hours. The change would come into effect within three months, with paid parking on Fridays and Saturdays to finish at 8pm in the meantime. The council agreed in February to extend metered parking hours to 8pm from Sunday to Thursday, and 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
