GambleAware sets out plans for BGC member funding commitments 14th January 2021 | By Robert Fletcher British gambling charity GambleAware has revealed further details of funding commitments from four leading members of the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) and how this will be used to support its ongoing work. Bet365, Entain, Flutter Entertainment and William Hill in June last year said they would commit £100m (€112.2m/$136.4m) to improving treatment services for problem gamblers in Britain. At the time, it was agreed GambleAware would serve as the main commissioning agent for ensuring that the funds reach people who require the counselling and treatment. ....
GambleAware appoints Zoë Osmond as CEO 14th January 2021 | By Conor Mulheir Gambling awareness charity GambleAware has appointed its communications and engagement director, Zoë Osmond, to the position of chief executive, replacing Marc Etches in the position. The charity said Osmond brings a “wealth of knowledge” to the role and added that she has a strong track record of driving business growth across the charity and in the wider business world having previously held chief executive, managing partner and global business director roles.
