Thomas Marcus, also known as Breeze, spends days creating intricate murals across the Valley to honor and highlight his Native culture.
Marcus is the muralist behind several prominent works in the Valley including a 115-foot piece in south Phoenix titled “Ban and Muhadag Do’ag.”
The mural features a fuchsia Coyote with glowing yellow eyes surrounded by thousands of cool-toned coils and geometric shapes reminiscent of the basketry of his Marcus Tohono O odham and Akimel O’odham ancestors.
