Wozniak appointed to 5th DCA Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed Carrie Ann Wozniak, of Winter Park, to serve on the 5th District Court of Appeal. She fills the spot of Judge Richard Orfinger, who retired. The court's jurisdiction includes Marion County. "Wozniak has been a partner at Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm, since 2013," DeSantis' office said in a news release. "She previously served as a staff attorney at the Florida Supreme Court. Tim Skudrovec has driven Maricamp Road for more than 30 years. These days, he's a frequent visitor at Taqueria Lupe, a Mexican food truck that parks in a vacant lot in the 7100 block of Southeast Maricamp in Silver Springs Shores.
