A thrilling new book written by several members of a local writing group will raise much-needed funds for a very worthy cause.
The book was officially launched by Laura Murphy, poet, activist and campaigner for the national holiday for St Brigid, at Kildare Town Library.
Kildare town witnessed a momentous occasion on Sunday morning (28 January), when a relic of St Brigid returned to the county after nearly a millennium.
The long-lost, original Book of Kildare is believed to have been a precious manuscript of calligraphy, paintings, drawings, and illuminations.
