A one-digit mistake resulted in the lab tests of 18 patients being faxed to a Barriere business instead of a doctor's office last month, an Interior Health spokesman said Thursday. That was a larger breach than normal, and all patients were notified by letter of the incident, said Mark Braidwood, director of information privacy and security for IHA.
