BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — It’s been six years since the Sugorovskiy family lost their son, 3 year-old Maksym, who was hit by a car on Ring Road in Delaware Park while walking with his family. The driver fell asleep at the wheel.
The family then sued the City of Buffalo, the County of Erie, Olmsted Parks and the driver of the car.
Now, six years later, some closure for this family who lost so much.
Tuesday, the Buffalo Common Council approved a $2.25 million settlement from the accident. ....

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WGRZ/WHEC) The City of Buffalo is nearing a $2.25 million settlement with the family of the 3-year-old who was killed in a 2015 crash.
It happened when a driver veered off the Scajaquada Expressway (State Route 198) and crashed into the Sugorovskiy family as they were on a walk at Delaware Park.
Maksym Sugorovskiy was killed. His mother and his sister, who was five at the time, were both injured. The family sued soon after the crash.
Our Buffalo-area affiliate, WGRZ, reports the city’s law department is now recommending that Buffalo Common Council members approve a $2.25 million settlement with the Sugorovskiy family. ....
