Alan and Doris Tugwell Alan Tugwell died the day after the funeral of his wife Doris. ALAN Tugwell, widower of Doris Tugwell, died on February 20, aged 77, with dementia. He was born and lived in Orford. Mr Tugwell spent his working life as a telephone engineer with British Telecom. Alan was a lifelong Manchester United fan and was a keen fisherman for a number of years. He enjoyed holidaying in North Wales with his family. Alan was an officer in the Boys Brigade for more than 25 years firstly at Wycliffe United Reform Church in Bewsey then at St Andrew’s Church in Orford.
