Interim town administrator appointed in Yarmouth, Selectmen to interview finalists for full-time position

The board unanimously voted Tuesday to appoint Robert Lawton Jr. to the interim post, effective Wednesday. Lawton, who has previously worked as a town administrator in Yarmouth, comes on as Daniel Knapik prepares to leave the post on Jan. 22. Lawton's contract stipulates that he will work two days a week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and will be paid $673.08 per day. That schedule could be modified if the need arises.
