A lifelong area resident, he was born July 31, 1960 in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of Carl R. and Carol Sue Champlin Myers, Sr. Carl was a 1979 graduate of Jamestown High School. He was currently employed as a custodian for the Jamestown Public School System and had earlier worked for the former H&H Metal Specialty for 20 years.
