That victim and his rescuers were just reunited. what do you say? a couple guys who saved your life. reporter: on the night of may 22nd, mark lundquist s life changed forever, along with all of the community of joplin. he was working at a community support service for mentally disabled boys when the ef-5 tornado hit. michael byers and his friend, brian hamlet were about to go to dinner, when they heard the news of the tornado. they went to joplin to look for survivors and found him in the debris. we immediately started to clear the rubble off of him. he had steel in his back. and wood in his back. we knew he had to get to the hospital quick. reporter: his wounds were so bad, it took three days to even identify lundquist. the boys he was trying to protect, sadly, didn t make it. initially, we didn t think he was going to make it. it s great to see him doing as well as he is. ....
