(JTA) — A parent of a child at an Orthodox Jewish day school in North Miami Beach was arrested after saying he wanted to “burn this school to the f***ing
"I regret the words that I used...but I don't regret going after the school legally," the father said.
Mark Polyakov, 37, was taken into custody and his son was expelled from the Jewish private school over the matter.
Mark Polyakov, 37, faces one count of written threats to kill or do bodily harm, which has a maximum penalty of up to 15 years in prison, 15 years probation and $10,000 in fines.
Some parents praised the school for taking the threats seriously; others insisted the man didn't actually intend to follow through on the threat.
