On strike and their tactic is historic. The union a striking all three auto workers at automakers at once, targeting some of the most profitable plans. By stopping work and only certain plants the union can effectively bottleneck production without calling all of its members to strike at once stop the union is seeking better pay and benefits, including the end to a tiered pay system, a shorter work week, and Better Benefits for retirees. And, cheaply, a 40 pay raise for its members over four years. Automakers say that is out of reach and meeting the unions demands on what the pay wouldnt allow...
