Mark Watson introduced a strong line-up at a picturesque venue in Kent
What a pleasure it was to go to the first drive-in date of 2021 as Mark Watson s Carpool Comedy Club, produced in association with The Alfresco Theatre, rocked up in the picturesque surroundings of the Hop Farm, near Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
Ghosts
Adura Onashile is a star on the rise. She wrote Expensive Shit, set in a Scottish toilet and Fela Kuti’s nightclub in Lagos, and was due to portray Medea at last year’s Edinburgh international festival. Her latest is an audio drama about empire, to be heard on a walk through Glasgow.

The exclusive menu will feature Tom Kerridge’s Smoked Applewood Cheeseburger with dill pickles and red cabbage slaw, as well as Tom’s delicious Vegan Chipotle Chilli with steamed rice, guacamole, sour ‘cream’ and lime.
Chef Atul Kochhar is one of the five chefs creating the menu for The Alfresco Diner.

Atul Kochhar will be serving up his flavourful Chicken Malabar Curry & Naan served with a kachumber salad.
Paul Ainsworth brings his melt-in-your-mouth Slow Roast Pork with crackling, triple mustard celeriac remoulade and sage and onion stuffing to the party.
Chef Paul Ainsworth will be helping to create the menu for The Alfresco Diner on The Alfresco Theatre Drive-in Tour coming to the Hertfordshire Showground.
