A Mass Ave. anchor is closing shop this week. MacNiven’s Bar & Restaurant will permanently close Thursday, turning its space over to a new concept. Owner Stuart Robertson is throwing in with the owners of the Slapfish casual seafood franchise located next door to open an oyster bar in the MacNiven's space. MacNiven's, located at 339 Massachusetts Avenue, has been known since 2003 as a place to drink, eat and catch broadcasts of soccer matches.
