SMBC hires Steilen from Commerzbank
By Jon Hay 20 May 2021 SMBC Nikko has hired Markus Steilen as managing director and head of continental European debt syndicate, based in Frankfurt. Steve Apted remains head of syndicate in London. Steilen had been deputy head of global syndicate at Commerzbank in Frankfurt. He will join SMBC Nikko on July 1.
