Raising Cane's Fast Food Chain Plans Marlborough Location

MARLBOROUGH, MA A rare fast-food restaurant may soon open in Marlborough.
The Louisiana-based Raising Cane s Chicken Fingers chain has applied to open a new restaurant along the Boston Post Road and it would only be the chain s second location between Maine and Maryland.
According to a May 11 application for a special permit, the Raising Cane s restaurant would be located at 141 Boston Post Road West, which is across the street from the Apex Entertainment plaza. The restaurant would be about 3,300 square-feet, and would feature two drive-thru lanes. The restaurant would employ about 12 people, according to the application. ....

MARLBOROUGH Raising Cane s Chicken Fingers has more than 530 restaurants in 28 states, as well as in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
But it has just one in all of New England (in Boston), and the next-closest one is in Norfolk, Virginia.
Now the Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based fast food chain, which is centered on chicken fingers, has pointed to a location in Marlborough where it wants to build its second location in Massachusetts. Raising Cane s is proposing to open at 141 Boston Post Road West (Rte. 20), which is between a McDonald s restaurant and an Embassy Suites hotel. ....
