Punch Newspapers Sections Afeez Hanafi A non-governmental organisation, the Global Initiative on Substance Abuse, is set to train 16,000 secondary pupils in Lagos State alongside their teachers and parents this year. The programme, according to GISA, is another phase of training after over 400 practitioners in Nigeria were trained in evidence-based drug and substance abuse prevention. The number comprised 40 national trainers, 295 practitioners, 34 school-based prevention specialists, and 33 workplace prevention, management and policy specialists drawn from different professions and organisations.
