Residents in Sean Browne Court and Moran Park areas of Enniscorthy have expressed concern over the erection of a telecommunications mast on the grounds of Enniscorthy United AFC. Speaking to this newspaper residents in the area said they are angry to see the mast going up despite the fact that many of them objected to it on the grounds of possible health and safety implications and also that it would detract from the aesthetic appeal of the view from their houses. The initial plan to erect the mast was refused by Wexford County Council, however, An Bord Pleanala upheld an appeal and the mast was erected on the grounds of the club in recent weeks.
