Traquan Antonio Davis, 24, formerly of Cedar City, Utah, was scheduled for a jury trial in Martinsville Circuit Court on May 7, but on Monday, his attorney withdrew the demand for trial and Davis pleaded guilty as charged.
Judge Joan Ziglar certified a charge of first-degree murder against a Martinsville man in Martinsville General District Court on Monday.
