if was a very important part of the entire case. >> william buck was convicted of killing a police officer and sentenced to 68 years in prison. >> in this day and age, tv shows like "csi," jurors have come to expect friendsic evidence. this would have satisfied any one juror who sought that or required that before they could reach a guilty verdict. >> no charges were filed against his accomplice, vincent holmes, who testified for the prosecution. in a case with no eyewitnesses, tiny acrylic fibers and an asthma inhaler told investigators all they needed to know. >> there was so much evidence that they found on that sweatshirt. you kind of marvel at how everything just kind of was able to be put back together. >> we're not in the business of taking sides in a case, unless

folks, if she can shape shift, that means literally anything could be muslim. a lamp, a sandwich, a tiger, a nonthreatening muslim. >> your response? >> i love steven colbert, and i thought that was a great clip. you know, i think it sort of drives home that this is kind of an idea whose time has come. i have to credit marvel, as well as the comic industry as a whole for responding to the fact that the comic readership is growing and becoming more diverse and wanting their stories to reflect that, as well. >> is this a story about the market audience, this is a company trying to serve the audience that's out there, or is this a story about higher aspiration that they think it's important somehow for comic books to have this, shall we say, diversity? >> you know, i think it's both. i think the comics market has been changing for a lot of years now. a lot more people are reading comics. it's really growing, and also at

author, willow wilson. welcome and tell us why you wrote this. >> hi, thanks for having me. well, i wrote this after getting a call somewhat out of the blue from two editors at marvel who said we want to make this new super hero from scratch, who's young, a teen living in the united states and it was my first opportunity to create a super hero from the ground up, and i was very happy to have been asked. and it's been a very exciting process. >> yeah, that tells us right there, marvel was interested in expanding the comic book cannon, if you will. not everyone has welcomed it, including steven colbert. take a listen to his concerns recently. >> her name is camala khan and she can grow and shrink her limbs and her body and shape shift into other forms.

want to just dump out a little friday haterade on one of the two films, i saw "12 years a slave," which i like everyone else thought was incredible and stunning and an amazing achievement and beautifully raw. you didn't like it? you're looking -- all right, the other movie i saw was "gravity," which i just hated. i just hated. and i hated because i walked out of that movie, literally, my fingers were bleeding because i was biting them so hard, and i found the film claustrophobic and also felt it was an exercise in audience sadism where he has these people in space and he can do whatever he wants to them, so he does a lot of terrible things and you're on the edge of your seat, and as a cinematic technical achievement, it was an absolute marvel, i don't know how he did it, but none of the drama is earn. it's just the director, like a cat with a ball of yarn, knocking it until you can't breathe and then the movie is over. it drove me nuts.
