BOWLING GREEN, Ky. A Kentucky manufacturer is expanding and hiring more workers, officials said.
Material Handling Systems Inc. plans to invest $7.6 million in a new facility in Bowling Green, creating 200 full-time jobs, Gov. Andy Beshear announced on Thursday in a statement. The Mt. Washington-based company manufactures conveyor and automated sortation equipment.
The Warren County facility will provide steel structures for conveyor and sortation systems that will be installed at the company’s headquarters in Mt. Washington, the statement said. ....

Mt. Washington, Kentucky, Jan. 29, 2021 MHS Holdings, Inc.  (“MHS” or the “Company”), a leading global provider of advanced material handling automation solutions, engineering, equipment and software, is moving forward with plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky after the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) this week granted preliminary approval of a 10-year agreement that can provide up to $2.5 million in tax incentives.
In turn, MHS plans to invest $7.6 million in the facility, which will create 200 new full-time jobs. The project is expected to have a total economic impact topping $327 million over a 10-year period. ....

FRANKFORT — Gov. Andy Beshear announced the state, in partnership with Kroger Health, will open its first regional vaccination site at the Kentucky Horse Park in Fayette County next week. Three additional regional sites are opening through partners Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville and Western Baptist and Lourdes Mercy both in Paducah.
The Governor also unveiled a new state website, vaccine.ky.gov, and hotline that help Kentuckians determine if they are eligible to receive a vaccine and then helps them find one in their region. ....

Today, Gov. Andy Beshear announced the state, in partnership with Kroger Health, will open its first regional vaccination site at the Kentucky Horse Park in Fayette County next week. Three additional regional sites are opening through partners Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville and Western Baptist and Lourdes Mercy both in Paducah.
The Governor also unveiled a new state website, vaccine.ky.gov, and hotline that help Kentuckians determine if they are eligible to receive a vaccine and then helps them find one in their region.
Gov. Beshear stressed that Kentucky, like other states, receives its vaccine doses from the federal government and due to limited supplies it will take time before everyone can be vaccinated. But, he said, everyone will get a turn. ....
