Hedge funds’ aggressive purchases of single family homes, seeking short term rent and only slightly longer-term profits from flipping them, have been pushing house prices out of reach for young would-be homeowners, and state Sen. Glen Sturtevant, R-Chesterfield, wants it to stop.
