Rowan University has broken ground on the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine, which will become the first veterinary school in New Jersey when it opens in 2025. The university also received a $30 million donation toward the vet school from its namesake, South Jersey businessman Gerald B. Shreiber.
New Jersey’s first veterinary school at Rowan University will be named for Gerald B. Shreiber, board chair of J&J Snack Foods Corp. He gave a $30 million gift, which will be used for scholarships.
Gov. Phil Murphy and state lawmakers were on hand for the groundbreaking Friday.
