Sara Price, set for her Dakar Rally début in 2024, spoke with The Checkered Flag about qualifying by winning her class at the Sonora Rally, followed by running two more races immediately after.
Matthew Glade, Mike Johnson, Sara Price, and Matt Sutherland completed an arduous two weeks of racing in Mexico's deserts as they finished the Sonora Rally followed by the Mexican 1000. Price and Sutherland even won their classes in both races.
Matt Sutherland will race the Sonora Rally and Mexican 1000 back-to-back on his own, and he got the first out of the way with a blazing performance in National Malle Moto.
28 FIA, 34 FIM, 12 National Car/UTV, and 42 National Moto entries make up the provisional field for the Sonora Rally.
Team Diespro will field bikes for Sebastián Olarte and Jatin Jain at the Sonora Rally in the Road to Dakar programme, in which the best finisher can earn free entry into the 2024 Dakar Rally.
