The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced increased oversight of Boeing after an incident where a panel broke off a new jet mid-flight. FAA Chief Mike Whitaker stated that the agency believes there are "other manufacturing problems" at Boeing. The FAA will conduct a new audit of the Boeing 737 MAX 9 production line and its suppliers, following an emergency landing by an Alaska Airlines jet last week.
