you can see that fire is burning. the crews have actually been working on this, a lot of scorched earth down there. a fire has been burning near lost drive and singleton road off the capitol expressway. it's been sending up some pretty thick white smoke visible around much of the valley, although in the past few minutes, fire crews have made major progress in getting the fire under control. it's burning in a grassy open area at locke drive and singleton road, close to andrew hill high school. students were not in danger. and they were not evacuated. there was a close call though for ...
