New sheriff substation launched in Maybee
MAYBEE — Saying it would improve visibility of police officers and deter crime in the area, Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough helped open a new sheriff substation in his hometown of Maybee. Amid sunny skies and spring-like readings, the sheriff assisted Village President Len Gaylor in cutting a yellow ribbon to the car bay and office located in the historic old village hall and fire station Tuesday with about two dozen people watching.
