Today’s Atlanta is not a city that leads from behind. As an international hub of business, media, education and public health, we are a global leader competing with some of the world’s most vibrant, dynamic and diverse places. But what truly sets us apart is the legacy we carry forward. Atlanta, the cradle of the Civil Rights movement, has remained a city at the forefront of a global effort for a better, more equal and just world. It is this spirit that brought CARE here 30 years ago when it moved its headquarters to Atlanta on Sept. 28, 1993.
