Penn Station expansion set to finish Dec. 31, Cuomo says

Moynihan Train Hall is set to be complete on Dec. 31.
Amtrak’s new Big Apple hub will be complete this Thursday, Gov. Cuomo announced, with train service set to start on the first day of 2021.
The $1.6 billion expansion of Penn Station across Eighth Ave. into the iconic Farley Post Office will also serve MTA’s Long Island Rail Road and provide space for NJ Transit passengers to wait in a sunny atrium that builders compared to Grand Central Terminal’s Main Hall.
“New Yorkers have known for decades that Penn Station needed to be reimagined and after years of work, the Moynihan Train Hall will open on time and on budget at the end of 2020,” Cuomo crowed in a Sunday statement. ....
