Dana Stevens Kogler is requesting the Iowa City community to share photos of her family, who settled in the city in the 1800s.

The hand-built house belonging to Darrell Roberts Jr., and his wife, Gail, who work at City High School and the Melrose Meadows Retirement Community in Iowa City, burned to the ground last week. The couple's 2,500-square-foot home was located about 30 minutes south of Iowa City, in Lone Tree, sandwiched far from the road in a woody bend near the Iowa River. The fire destroyed everything inside the house, including five cars, and likely killed a dog named Kitty, and a cat named Baby, who were trapped inside at the time of the blaze. Iowa City Martha Lea (Fulbright) Roesch was born on Oct. 19, 1923, on the family farm in Daisy, Mo., the first of three children of Dock and Mary "Marie" (McLane) Fulbright. She graduated from Oak Ridge, Mo. High School in 1941, and was the last surviving member of that class. Marty moved to St. Louis where she met her husband to be, Lawrence L.
