All right. Hurricane katrina became a hurricane on a friday. Friday august 25th in 2005. By the next day, by saturday a bunch of coastal parishes in louisiana were under mandatory Evacuation Orders. On that first saturday, day after the storm first became a hurricane, new orleans was under an Evacuation Order as well but it was a voluntary order. The city auns nod that people should get out. They announced that the superdome would be opened as a shelter of last resort for people who couldnt get out. That was saturday.
