Jonathan Whiting lost his wife, Lori, to a rare form of cancer called cholangiocarcinoma in October of 2016. She was 53 years old and the mother of two children. Whiting will swim the English Channel in July of next year to raise funds for cholangiocarcinoma cancer research. He is shown training in the lap pool at the Lodge Des Peres.

Jonathan Whiting has a personal vendetta against cholangiocarcinoma cancer. This obscure bile duct cancer, whose few symptoms mimic other illnesses, took the life of his wife, Lori, on Oct. 11, 2016. She was 53 years old. ....
