Former King's Chef hand "Taco" has started his own food truck | Food & Drink

Locals most likely know Mike Morea, also known as Taco, from his time working the kitchen at King’s Chef Diner. But during the pandemic, he and wife Lindsey decided to start up a food truck. When we stop by, Lindsey says they hope to become known best for their
green chile, which is made with Hatch, New Mexico, peppers and shredded pork.

We get a bowl of it, served with halved flour tortillas, and it’s damn tasty, with porky richness and that earthy, fruity green chile quality dancing together, all at a nice medium heat. We also try it over soft, peppery french fries with a creamy cheese sauce that makes for a top-quality gut bomb. ....

Indian Rocks Beach OKs liquor license for second Indian Rocks restaurant


INDIAN ROCKS BEACH — There is another restaurant on the way for this beachside town.
The City Commission voted unanimously at its Feb. 9 regular meeting to approve a beer and wine license for a new restaurant at 215 Gulf Blvd. The cafe, called Rick Daddy’s Eatin’ Fresh, is a second location for Eatin’ Fresh, which has an original site on Lakeview Road in Clearwater.
The restaurant’s owner, Richard E. Brumfield, opened the Clearwater café seven years ago. He will lease the former Lighthouse Donuts Coffee eatery from Aqua Prime Real Estate LLC. It is the second new restaurant in recent months to receive city permission to serve beer and wine. ....
