On April 21, 2022, the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) was directed to investigate allegations that an Edmonton Police Service (EPS) officer was falsifying arrest reports and the documentation related to the execution of warrants. Alberta’s director of law enforcement was made aware of these allegations by EPS, which had reported the matter pursuant to Sec. 46.1 of the Police Act.
