After a day of voting that descended into chaos and violence, regional leaders in catalonia say 90 of those who voted in a referendum were in favour of independence from spain. More than 800 people are reported to have been injured after violence at many polling stations. The Prime Minister, mariano rajoy, said the poll was illegal and that most people in catalonia did not want independence. From barcelona, tom burridge reports. This is how a vote turned ugly.
