Ed Mullins, whose Long Island home was stormed by agents on Tuesday, was lashed by public officials including Mayor Bill de Blasio.
NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea revealed the department was involved in Tuesday's dramatic raids of Mullins' home and office during Mayor Bill de Blasio's daily COVID briefing on Wednesday.
The FBI did not explicitly say why they raided the union, which represents 13,000 current and former NYPD sergeants, revealing only that it was in connection with an 'ongoing investigation.'
At least two of them worked out of the 107th Precinct in Queens, the law enforcement sources said.
