Wayne County Sheriff's Officials were called out to an accident at the intersection of Northeast 4th Street and East Court Street over the weekend. 82-year-old Ivani Brown was driving a 2018 Hyundai when he turned right onto NE 4th Street and hit a 2012 Jeep owne by 54-year-old Michelle D. Smith of Fairfield. Initially Brown failed to stop after the accident. Brown later reported to Fairfield police the accident. According to police, Brown seemed to be a bit disoriented. No injuries were reported. Over $1500 of damage occurred to both vehicles in the accident
