The Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission sent a letter to Hamtramck Judge Alexis Krot last month.
Marshall is seeking community input on how to move forward after its $45.5 million bond proposal failed by a 2-1 margin in November.
If 2,457 signatures are collected and deemed valid, the recall of Richard Lindsey would appear on the November ballot.
