Human remains were found in an area along Broad Top Mountain Road in Huntingdon County, just across the Bedford County line. The Pennsylvania State Police Human Remains Detection K9 Jack and his handler, Tpr. Joseph Carlson, responded to the area of Broad Top Mountain Road at its intersection with McCandles Street in Coalmont Borough about 11 a.m. Tuesday to conduct a search related to a missing person. The Pennsylvania State Police at Bedford are investigating a criminal homicide that occurred Saturday afternoon in Snake Spring Township. State police said they were called to the scene in the township’s Mile Level area, east of Bedford, just before 2 p.m. Saturday and found a Bedford man, Brian Wayne Hunter, 62, had been shot and killed. Following a preliminary investigation, a criminal homicide warrant was issued for Tico Octavious Franklin, 38, of Bedford, according to state police, who said Franklin shot and killed Hunter at a home just off Route 30 and fled the scene in a stolen veh...
