Renovations have recently been completed at the old fire station in Millstreet, allowing the local Men’s Shed to get “back on track” with their meetings.

Gifted Millstreet artist Bertie Buckley paints people, places and pets, and his enthusiasm and passion for his craft is inspiring. "Once I start, I could paint morning, noon and night, and forget even to eat at times until the hunger pangs really kick in," Bertie told The Corkman. "Even when I'm out and about I'm constantly making a picture and imagining what colours I would mix to achieve a certain shade in a landscape or the sky," he explained.
