MADISON - The state Elections Commission unanimously agreed Thursday to start the process of removing as many as 188,000 people from the voter rolls because they have not cast ballots in the last four years.
The bipartisan commission took up the issue three weeks after a lengthy legal fight over whether it should remove tens of thousands of people from the rolls because they were believed to have moved. In a 5-2 ruling this month, the state Supreme Court sided with the commission in finding it did not have to quickly take those voters off the rolls. ....

An incumbent has lost her spot on the Kettle Moraine School Board, coming in fourth of four candidates seeking three available positions on the board.
Incumbent Heather Renno garnered 2,270 votes (22.11%). The top three vote-getters were incumbent Jim Romanowski with 3,101 votes (30.20%), challenger Elizabeth Sparks with 2,485 votes (24.20%) and incumbent Kathy Kapsy with 2,307 votes (22.47%). There were also 103 write-in votes.
Results are unofficial until they are canvassed. ....

There will be two new faces and a familiar one on the Franklin School Board after the April 6 election.
The top three vote-getters, according to unofficial results, were Maqsood Khan with 2,328 (21.83%), incumbent Ann Sepersky with 2,173 votes (20.83%) and Angela Bier with 2,088 votes (19.58%).
Incumbent Claude Lewis was fifth with 1,245 votes (11.67%). He finished just ahead of Shuchi Wadhwa, who received 759 votes (7.12%) and behind Angela Christie, who was fourth with 2,027 votes (19.01%).

Challenger and incumbent win seats on the Menomonee Falls School Board

A challenger and an incumbent won the two available seats on the Menomonee Falls School Board in the April 6 election.

Winners were Jennifer Grant, who received 3,144 votes (33.3%) to lead the candidates, and incumbent Keri Duce, who came in second with 2,639 votes (27.9%). Both seats are three-year terms.
David Noshay did not seek re-election.
The results are in, and I am humbled, Grant wrote on her candidate Facebook page.  Thank you to everyone who helped with this campaign. I am honored to be able to serve the residents of Menomonee Falls in this new role. Now the real work starts!   ....
