As the second COVID-19 wave hit the country, several exams like NEET PG and JEE mains were postponed.
In 2020 also the exam schedule was disrupted by COVID-19 and followed lockdown. Meanwhile, Secretary of Higher Education Amit Khare urged all centrally funded institutions to postpone all offline examinations scheduled in the month of May 2021 considering the second wave of Covid-19.

Engineering entrance exam JEE-Mains scheduled from May 24 to 28 has been postponed in view of the COVID-19 situation, according to the Ministry of Education's National Testing Agency (NTA).
The April edition of the exam was also postponed following an exponential rise in coronavirus cases.
"The JEE-Mains scheduled from May 24 to 28 is being postponed in view of the current pandemic situation," the NTA said in an official order.
It added that the rescheduling of the April and May sessions will be done subsequently.
"The registration for the May session will also be announced at a later stage," the NTA added.

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be conducted only once this year, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank informed the Lok Sabha on Monday.
In a written reply to the lower house, Nishank said the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the Ministry of Education conducts NEET for the undergraduate programmes in medical sciences, in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
"In 2021, NEET (UG) will be conducted by NTA only one time. NTA has informed that they have not received any memorandum in this regard," Nishank said.

NEW DELHI: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to undergraduate medical courses will be conducted on August 1, the Ministry of Education's National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Friday.
"The NEET (UG), 2021, is going to be conducted by NTA for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS courses as per the relevant norms, guidelines and regulations notified by the regulatory bodies concerned.
"The exam will be conducted in 11 languages, including Hindi and English, through pen and paper mode on August 1," the NTA said in an official notification.
Bulletin containing detailed information regarding the test, syllabus, eligibility criteria for age, reservation, categorisation of seats, examination fee, cities of examination, state code will be available shortly when the submission of the application form for NEET (UG) starts, it added.
