north florida could get snow and they are freaking out down there. you have winter weather heading your way. first let me get you out the door. the areas of snow this morning be careful out towards buffalo and syracuse. snow squalls rolling through and also near pittsburgh. the brutal cold is back in the northern plains. a dangerous day. they cancelled school in a lot of areas. minus 37 in minneapolis and minus 19 chicago. and indianapolis just dropped to minus 18. a brutal day in the midwest heading for the great lakes but here is the big story. snow, sleet and freezing rain possible, houston, new orleans, mobile, montgomery, and look out in the carolinas into areas of georgia. you could get enough snow you re going to need the plows! how much snow are we talking about? looks like in this area about 1 to 3 inches but in areas of eastern north carolina as much as 3 to 6 inches of snow. maybe on the outer banks. possibility of up to a foot. again, that is tuesday into wednesday. areas ....

Air. right now, washington, d.c., it s 15 degrees. but it feels like minus 2. we did see record-setting snowfall amounts. take a look at some of these pictures that we ve got as far as the snowfall is concerned. philadelphia, 13.5 inches of snowfall reported. but just want to point out, here is camario, california. probably wondering why i m mentioning that. in association with watertown, new york. that s because the temperature difference between the two of them, 121 degrees. that s because watertown was minus 37 degrees this morning, and camarillo made it to 84 degrees yesterday. that cold air is going to be filtering in across the midwestern united states, double digit temperatures below normal. we ll have a little clipper system move through, still cold air across the northeast, single digits below zero. but very dangerously cold. but watch what happens. there s going to be another system that moves out of the arctics, probably by sunday, ....

Chills. minus 25 in kansas city. feels like 20 in dallas, texas. the really, really core of the cold air is across the upper midwest. those are your current wind chills, what it feels like. minus 37 in fargo. 4 in chicago. minus 20 in omaha. this cold air is coming directly from the north pole. these are overnight low temperatures, not wind chills, okay? so it s going to be minus 31 in the morning tomorrow in international falls. minus 22 in green bay. minus 4 in green bay. minus 13. that s the daytime highs. the other part of the story is the heavy snow that we are going to get from missouri valley up towards the great lakes. 6 to 12 inches possible. and as the system moves eastward because we have a little bit of a warmup be across the east coast, freezing rain is possible. yeah, freezing rain advisories in a widespread area from west virginia all the way up to new england. that s going to be dangerous. then all of the moisture that s left on the ground is going to ....
