"Since early May 2022, cases of monkeypox have been reported from countries where the disease is not endemic, and continue to be reported in several endemic countries," the WHO stated.

The Canadian government has announced a big chunk of funding for communities affected by the recent monkeypox outbreak. In a press release put out by the Public Health Agency of Canada, the feds confirmed a $1 million commitment to support organizations across the country that advocate for communities that have been disproportionately affected by monkeypox outbreaks.
