Comedian-filmmaker Kevin Smith bringing pop-up restaurant to Des Moines
Mooby’s, the fictitious restaurant-turned-pop up from film director and comedian Kevin Smith, is heading to Des Moines’ East Village this month. A post on the Mooby’s Pop Up Facebook page says the fictional fast-food empire will make its Des Moines debut March 31 through April 7 at Up-Down Arcade Bar, 500 E. Locust St. Named for its Mooby the Golden Calf mascot, Mooby’s appears in Smith’s movies "Dogma," "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and "Clerks II."
